(SetupCompact.exe works only from under Windows 10. With it, you can install the system with or without compression.)

Installing without compression from a flash drive:

To install the system from a flash drive without CompactOS compression, we replace boot.wim and setup.exe with dozens of them from any other image.

(setup.exe we take from the same sources folder, and not from the root of the disk)

And if you already have a flash drive with a ten, then it's even easier - just replace your install.wim / esd + ei.cfg with those in the distribution image.

Installation with its own settings and tweaks:

To install the system with personal settings and tweaks - roll them into the file (s) of the registry and:

- When installing via SetupCompact.exe - throw them into the Temp folder of the applied image. (SetupCompact.exe automatically copies files from \ sources \ $ OEM $ \ $ 1 \ Temp \ *. Reg)

- When installing from a flash drive - create the following folder structure: Flash Drive: \ sources \ $ OEM $ \ $ 1 \ Temp \ your registry files.reg

All found .reg files in these folders are imported at the final stage of the installation.

SetupCompact.exe searches for wim / esd by * inst * mask:

First of all, it fumbles in the sources folder next to it, if it does not find it it searches in the folder from which it is running,

if it isn’t there, it searches for wim / esd across all mounted and mounted disks in the sources root folder and reads editions.

In general, it can now be used from any location by mounting any image of the tens, or by copying it into one folder with wim / esd.
